Consumer goods manufacturer Colgate Palmolive India reported a jump of 43 per cent in its net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, to Rs 102.78 crore, over the corresponding period a year ago.
The company had a net profit of Rs 71.92 crore during the June quarter a year earlier, Colgate Palmolive India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total revenue of the company rose to Rs 493.98 crore during the three-month period ended June 30, from Rs 435.99 crore of a year earlier.
Shares of Colgate were trading at Rs 642.90, up 1.72 per cent, in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
