The Bosch Group?leading global manufacturer of automotive and industrial technology?is seriously looking at India as a major revenue earner for its packaging technology business.
Though the financial details are not disclosed, the company plans additional investment as part of doubling its capacity as well as manpower in its newly commissioned plant in Goa, in next three years.
According to the company, Verna Plant at Goa gives Bosch Packaging Technology excellent opportunities to concentrate on the costumer base in and around Goa, particular on pharmacy costumers in Goa.
The new Goa facility, opened in December last year, with 2600 square meters produces and assembles packaging technology equipment for requirements such as candy wrapping, solid food and biscuit packaging as well as packing vials, ampoules and syringes.
A Bosch India Ltd spokesperson said, ?We have strong growth plans on packaging technology in India to provide latest art technology equipment for customers in fields of food, confectionery and pharmacy. So far more than 500 packaging machines and process equipments lines have been installed in India; in addition we have also exported more than 75 packaging machines.?
