In today?s competitive age, contemplating how children are faring and seeing if they are on the right track is not an easy thing to do. The kids in today?s world are pressured to perform, not pressured to learn. ?Today?s kids are not able to focus. There is an information overload with easy access to so many channels of information. This leads to confusion. There is limited time and too much peer pressure,? said Anjali Raghbeer, an eminent writer and founder member of The Shift, which recently held a conference to nurture young minds, moulding them to the best of their abilities so that they could make a right shift in their career.

The conference was all about ?making the shift? and inspiring young students, aspiring entrepreneurs smart and brilliant young adults to make a shift in their thinking, perceptions and ideas about their lives and their future.

Raghbeer feels that students should not fear failure, instead they should learn from their mistakes and move forward. ?They should be passionate about what they want to do, they should expect failure on the path of life and be prepared to work very hard to achieve success. They should see themselves as leaders and approach life with confidence,? added Raghbeer.

The conference was chaired by a mix of renowned speakers, like Karan Singh, Anita Roy, Shiv Khemka, Shantanu Moitra, David Back, Gaurav Tekriwal, Suniti Mathur, etc, who shared their life-changing experiences. It saw over 300 students from various schools of Delhi taking part. The organisers believe they reached over 20,000 youth as the conference was also live webcasted to over 150 schools across India.
