The new GST reforms by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will inject Rs 2 lakh crore into the economy, benefiting the middle class, farmers, and MSMEs. The changes include a reduction in tax rates for goods, with 99% of items under the 12% slab moving to 5% and 90% of items under the 28% slab slipping into 18%.
