Overview

Season 18 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has sparked excitement among fans, particularly due to Virat Kohli’s jersey number 18. Under Rajat Patidar’s leadership, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) enters IPL 2025 with a fresh outlook and renewed intent after making significant changes through the mega auction. Last season, RCB staged a miraculous comeback, winning six consecutive matches to finish in the top four and qualify for the playoffs. RCB chose not to use the Right to Match (RTM) card for Mohammed Siraj and Glenn Maxwell, instead focusing on rebuilding from scratch. They secured the services of Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, ICC’s No. 3 ranked T20I batter Phil Salt, and experienced Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
