Reliance Globalcom, a subsidiary of Reliance Communications, today, announced signing of a strategic alliance with Stealth Communications, which specialises in interconnection services for the communications industry.
Stealth runs the world’s largest voice over internet protocol network –Voice Peering Fabric.
”With the signing of the strategic alliance, Voice Peering Fabric would use Reliance Globalcom’s 65,000 km fully IP-enabled optic fibre network to carry its VOIP traffic”.
Reliance Globalcom said.
Reliance Globalcom’s Next Generation Network (NGN) would also now enhance the reliability and the existing suite of product and service offerings, thereby increasing value and cost benefits of Voice over Internet Protocol to end-users, the company said.
The extended reach of VPF on Reliance Globalcom’s network would enable service providers from new markets to join the Plug-n-Play VOIP platform at attractive cost base.
Reliance Globalcom would also offer termination of VOIP calls on traditional PSTN networks across the expanse of VPF spread across 50 countries, the company said.
In 2007, VPF carried a record traffic of 200 Billion Voice minutes, which is projected to double to 400 Billion Voice Minutes this year, the company press note said.
