Divine Ventures has become the first company in Jharkhand to have been included in the ‘partner programme’ of Make My Trip (India), which owns popular travel & tour website MakeMyTrip.com.
Started in 2000, MakeMyTrip.com that reported a turnover of Rs 562 crore in 2006-07, offers world class national and international travel & tour solutions.
The company’s offers include complete holiday plans, group tours and custom-made holiday packages, passport services, visas and air & railway bookings.
The website is popular among those looking for economical tour/travel packages, and being associated in the partner programme with Divine Ventures here gives MakeMyTrip.com an opportunity to provide its customers added services.
Reversal of purchase of airline tickets is said be easier when acted through agencies like Divine Ventures.
“Though cost-wise there is no difference between booking through the MakeMyTrip.com site and at our office here, it always gives customers extra confidence as they deal directly with people,” Dinesh Raisurana, partner of Divine Ventures, told FE here on Sunday. The company’s centrally located office was inaugurated here on Sunday.
There is also the risk of credit card misuse while doing transactions through Internet, apart from hassles created by hackers.
“While transactions through us help icrease our accountability, customers’ risk in providing credit card details to wrong persons while doing transactions on the Net is also eliminated,” said Fasel Pall, Divine Ventures’ second partner.
With the steel city gaining national and international recognitions and visibility following Tata Steel’s acquisition of Corus in early 2006 and Tata Motors’ acquisition of Ford’s Land Rover & Jaguar brands recently, domestic and international tours and travels from Jamshedpur have increased manifold.
All these augur well for Divine Ventures as well as MakeMyTrip.com, which is targeting a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore in 2008-09.
Though several other travel agencies already operate Jharkhand, there are few like MakeMyTrip.com, which offers single-window services for almost all the airlines operating in the country.
