SpiceJet offer 2016: Budget airline SpiceJet has started yet another tariff war with rivals today by unveiling the Great Independence Day sale, for a limited period, in which it is offering one-way base fare tickets priced as low as Rs 399 (surcharge and taxes extra) for travel to certain pre-marked destinations – this Spicejet new offer is applicable only on the airline’s domestic network. The Ajay Singh led airliner has been known for its standout pricing deals that have been very popular with the flying public. Other airlines have scrambled to try to match the same but SpiceJet has emerged as a leader in offering cut-price tickets.
The SpiceJet offer on the domestic sector is a 3-day sale launched today and it will be open till midnight 11th August, 2016. According to the budget airline, the travel period covered is from 18th August to 30th September, 2016. SpiceJet offer on the Rs 399 base fare spans popular routes like Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Amritsar-Srinagar, Bengaluru-Chennai, Bengaluru-Kochi, Coimbatore-Hyderabad, Jammu-Srinagar, Mumbai-Goa and Mumbai-Hyderabad amongst others on the domestic sector.
SpiceJet has also unveiled an international offer where ticket prices start as low as Rs 2,999, again base fare (surcharge and taxes extra), that apply to non-stop direct flights. On the international network, the Spicejet offer is available for Dubai-Delhi and Dubai-Mumbai routes. The airline is also offering other special fares on various direct flights across the network.

Tickets for this new Spicejet sale can be booked on spicejet.com, as well as online travel portals, and the SpiceJet mobile app. Travel agents too are empowered to make the bookings. Tickets under this offer are refundable (only statutory taxes refundable). These can also be changed at the passengers’ request with a change fee and fare difference.

Spicejet says ‘limited inventory’ under the offer is available, and tickets will be made available on first-come, first-served basis. However, SpiceJet sale offer is not applicable on group bookings or even any other combo offers. The SpiceJet offer is applicable only on non-stop flights and the applicable fares can vary sector to sector based on distance and flight schedules. And the timings are subject to regulatory approvals and changes, says SpiceJet.
At more than 90%, SpiceJet has logged the highest load factor consistently over the last 14 months and the airliner says that makes it the making it the ‘most preferred airline’.
