Remember all the fuss everyone made about Priyanka Chopra starring in the upcoming Baywatch movie opposite the magnificent Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson? Well, the trailer for the 2017 seaside flick is out and you’ll have to keep your eyes glued to the screen to make sure you don’t miss the one shot of Priyanka Chopra. Don’t get us wrong, the Dil Dhadakne Do star looks lovely in the shot, but it’s just disappointing for the legion of her Indian fans after the immense hype created about her getting a meaty role in the film – one that was reportedly written for a male actor, but then modified for her.
The actress shared the trailer on Twitter yesterday, captioning the video, “You see them as the ‘Lifeguard Squad’, I see them as prey! Enjoy the sun while u can coz this beach is mine. So step aside.” The Rock, however, was all praises for his co-star, writing, “She’s perfect and brings such a force. @priyankachopra #Boss.”
In her short scene, Priyanka looks like she’s going to give the film’s villain, Victoria Leeds, a stylish edge. Let’s hope her part in the film is longer than it was in a trailer. Apart from her her work on Quantico, the actress also announced via Twitter that she would be a serving as a judge on fashion reality TV series Project Runway.
With all the workload she taking on in foreign shores, Priyanka is surely looking to create for herself a permanent space there. But that also means she spends that much less time in India. So, will she bid it goodbye to Bollywood?
