After a gap of almost five months, and an after-sale sour taste from Flipkart’s Big Billion Day, online buyers have gotten ready for another sale — The Great Indian Summer Sale, this time by Amazon India, reports

The three-day sale that started on May 6 has discounts on over 22 million products across categories. “Customers will enjoy a vast, unique & exclusive selection with irresistible offers from our sellers that will make this summer season absolutely delightful,” said Samir Kumar, director category management, Amazon India.
To move shoppers to its mobile app, Amazon is offering additional discounts and deals through its app. Two days into the sale, categories such as mobile and gaming were the most popular where buyers flocked to after fashion.
Affiliate partners such as CashKaro, Coupon Dunia, etc are also betting big on Amazon’s Summer sale and a few are seeing up to five times growth in their traffic, primarily driven by the Amazon sale.
“Amazon performs extremely well during their sale days. They really support and stand by the hoo-haa that they promise. Working with affiliates boosts their sales as conversion rates are really high,” said Rohan Bhargava, co-founder, CashKaro. The company provides cash-back offers on top of the discount that Amazon gives.
While CashKaro’s sale and traffic went up by five times, Coupon Dunia clocked 3.5 times growth in sales within two days. “Till now we have witnessed that electronics and clothing apparels has increased sales during this campaign.
We sent push notifications of best offers, at the peak hour to 1.5 million app users. We leveraged on Amazon’s hashtag #whatteydeal in our promotions so that the user could identify with the campaign easily,” said a statement by Coupon Dunia.
