Indian Oil: Petrol and Diesel Price Revision

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. has decided to effect the following price changes w.e.fmidnightof 31^stAugust / 1^stSeptember, 2015

• Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 2.00/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 61.20/litre.
• Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Diesel (Retail) by Rs. 0.50/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 44.45/litre.

Prices of Petrol and Diesel were last revised w.e.f. 15^thAugust15. Since last price change, there has been a decrease in international prices of both Petrol Diesel. However, INR-USD exchange rate has depreciated during this period. The impact of both these factors warrants a downward revision in prices, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price decrease.

The movement of prices in international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes.
