Hulk Hogan has died at 71 according to US media outlets The Sun and TMZ. Hogan was found unresponsive at his Florida home early this morning and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. No cause of death has been announced but early reports are of a suspected cardiac event.

A Wrestling Legend Remembered

Hogan rose to fame in the 80s and 90s as one of the mainstays of WWE and the face of the company during its golden era. Known for his “Hulkamania” catchphrases, yellow bandana and presence he redefined what it meant to be a wrestling superstar. Hogan’s career spanned decades and included acting, reality TV and entrepreneurship.

In recent years Hogan made headlines not just for his wrestling legacy but for a very public spiritual transformation. In December 2023 he and his wife Sky Daily were baptised together, marking a “new chapter in life”.

Who is Sky Daily?

Sky Daily, Hogan’s wife since September 2023 is a yoga instructor and entrepreneur. The two got engaged earlier in the year at a friend’s wedding and got married in a private ceremony in Florida. Daily is 25 years younger than Hogan and has three children from a previous relationship and often spoke publicly about the bond Hogan had with her kids.

On social media Daily posted about their blended family life and her love for Hogan calling him “her best friend and biggest blessing”. Just weeks before his passing she posted on Instagram to dismiss death rumours and say Hogan was recovering from a serious spinal surgery. “His heart is strong… he’s healing one day at a time” she wrote at the time.
