US speaker emerita Nancy Pelosi has once again slammed Donald Trump. While speaking to reporters on Thursday (US time), the Democratic official took a swipe at the POTUS, calling him the “biggest con job in American history.” She even went as far as labelling the 79-year-old the “worst president” the country has ever seen.

Her renewed attacks on the MAGA leader come exactly one day after she said her prior description of the Republican leader as the “worst thing on the face of the Earth” could have been a lot “worse.”

What Pelosi said against Trump on Thursday?

While standing beside other fellow American politicians, Rep Pelosi went on to say, “Donald Trump is the worst president that American’s children have ever had in terms of their health, their education, the safe environment in which they can survive, including safety from gun violence, the job security of their families, and the future that is fair and just”

Pelosi blasted Trump for giving American children “a gift” of “$600 billion increase in national debt” instead, while also taking away the Department of Education and healthcare benefits.

Her new remarks were delivered at a Capitol Hill press conference addressing the threat of climate change. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY) joined the former House speaker for the event.

Pelosi vs Trump on climate change

Among other issues, Pelosi particularly challenged Trump’s appearance at the UN general assembly in September, where he branded the climate crisis “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.” At the time, he even accused the United Nations or making “wrong” predictions in connection with the issue.

“They were made by stupid people that have cost their countries fortunes and given those same countries no chance for success. If you don’t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail,” he added back then.

The ex-US House speaker ultimately flipped his “con” statements around and suggested Trump was simply “projecting” at the UN event.

Democrats on the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works especially convened on Capitol Hill on Thursday to counter the US president’s unmissable disregard for the rising climate threat.

Trump is infamously known for his stern criticism of climate science and policies aimed at reversing the ill effects of the global threat. As a result, the US remained noticeably absent from the COP30 negotiation at a US Climate Action Network press conference in Brazil earlier this year. It marked the first time America had missed sending a delegation to the event in 30 years of the summit.

In other news, the Trump administration announced on Thursday new drilling off the California and Florida coasts in a first in decades. The project is moving forward in efforts of boosting US energy security and jobs. However, critics red-flagged it over potential dangers to coastal communities and ecosystems, as per ABC News.
