US authorities have identified 34-year-old Jacob Prichard as the suspect of a harrowing murder-suicide case that took place on October 25 (US time). According to West Milton Police, the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base employee killed his wife and a lieutenant before taking his own life outside a government office.

US Air Force employee’s murder-suicide details emerges

The shocking chain of events transpired in such a way that Prichard is first broke into his co-worker Jaime Gustitus’ house in Sugarcreek Township, and killed him around 2 am, according to an October 28 statement by police. The 25-year-old victim’s apartment was roughly 18 miles away from the Air Force Base, where he and Prichard worked.

Thereafter, he took his wife Jaymee Prichard’s life, as per the officials. Putting her dead body in a car, he then drove down to the West Milton Municipal Building, and killed himself around 4:23 am in the parking lot.

While Gustitus’ manner of death has yet to be detailed, Jacob Prichard died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on October 25 morning. His wife’s body was discovered in the car’s open trunk, according to US officials.

US Air Force murder-suicide victims

According to the 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs’ news release, the three deceased people have been identified as:

  • 1st Lt Jaime Gustitus: 25 y/o, worked in 711th Human Performance Wing, part of the Air Force Research Laboratory
  • Jaymee Prichard: 33 y/o, worked within Air Force Life Cycle Management Centre
  • Jacob Prichard: 34 y/o, part of the Air Force Research Lab (Man named responsible for the tragedy)

Before the sad revelation, both Jaymee and Jacob graduated from Wright State University, as per The New York Post’s report. They eventually went on to reap the success of a rental photo booth before their Air Force base stint. The married pair lived together in Huber Heights, as per Cincinnati.com.

According to a 2018 article by the Wright State University Newsroom, Jacob had a bachelor’s degree in finance. He co-founded Picture Perfect with his brother in 2012, and remained president of the business. Jaymee joined them in 2013.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is heading the investigation, with the Air Force Office of Special Investigation assisting the case. Local law enforcement teams backing the investigation include Miami County Sheriff’s Office and West Milton Police.
