Members of the ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) camp has spoken out in massive support of US Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, after videos of her address at the Turning Point USA conference in Phoenix, Arizona, did rounds on the Internet.

On Saturday (US time), Gabbard took the stage at what was the first annual AmericaFest after Turning Point founder Charlie Kirke‘s death. While she had the floor, she came down hard on what she defined as the “Islamist ideology,” and how it posed a big threat to Western freedom.

The AmericaFest 2026 was held in Phoenix, Arizona, from December 18 to 21, 2025. In addition to Gabbard addressing the masses at the days-long conference, the likes of Vice President JD Vance and Ohio governor hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy also took the stage on different days.

Tulsi Gabbard speech at AmFest: ‘Islamist ideology’ threat to US

Gabbard, who oversees 18 intelligence agencies in the US, sounded off the alarm on what she called a “threat to our freedom,” but is “not often talked about enough.” While at the Phoenix event, she branded ‘Islamist ideology,’ as the “the greatest near and long-term threat to both our freedom and our security.”

Further suggesting that it was propagated by people whose fundamental ideology was “antithetical to the foundation” of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, she turned back to the harrowing memories of the 9-11 attack.

“It changed so many of our lives where thousands of Americans were killed by Islamist jihadis who attacked us on that day,” she said at AmFest. “We were confronted with the reality of the length that they will go to try to attack the foundations of who we are as a country.”

Gabbard, the Hinduism-practicing National Intelligence Director, further attributed her enlistment in the Hawaii Army National Guard at the age of 21 in 2003 to the September 11 terrorist attacks against the US in 2001. Claiming that ‘Islamist ideology’ is what fuels terror outfits like Al-Qaeda and ISIS, she emphasised on the need to defeating them “militarily.”

While noting that such terror groups posed a threat to the country’s security and safety, she asserted that ‘Islamist ideology,’ on the other hand, was a “direct threat to our freedom.”

MAGA in support of Tulsi Gabbard

Countless officials, Charlie Kirk supporters and many more on the far-right poured in huge support for Gabbard on X.

Eric Daughtery asserted the need to “DEFEND THE WEST,” as he shared the multiple posts related Gabbard’s speech at AmFest 2026.

Malaysian right-wing influencer Ian Miles Cheong wrote on X, “Incredible speech from Tulsi Gabbard warning about the dangers of Islamism. Fortunately countries like the UAE recognize this threat and ban it. The West must wake up and fast.”

Laura Loomer not only thanked Gabbard, but also hoped for her to “talk some sense” into Tucker Carlson, who she claims used his AmFest speech “to promote Islam.”

Loomer wrote on X, “It speaks volumes that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard @TulsiGabbard used her speech at TPUSA’s AmFest to talk about how the biggest threat we face as a nation is Islam.

“The fact that she is saying this as the Director of National Intelligence is a big deal and more people need to understand the threat we face in the homeland because of Islam. You’ll notice that none of our federal law enforcement agencies are talking about the threat of Islam, the refuse to say the term “Islamic terrorism”, and more and more cabinet members keep turning a blind eye to the threat of Islam as more and more of them take strange trips to Qatar that aren’t a necessary part of their job duties in the administration. We are becoming the United States of Qatar.”

Loomer further pushed that the ‘Islam ideology’ was here to “endanger” the US and its national security. Alluding Charlie Kirk’s old message, she added, “It’s here to destroy Western civilization and “slit the throat of America” as Charlie Kirk tweeted one day before he was shot in the throat by a sniper!”
