The US Mission in Pakistan released a security alert on Wednesday, urging American citizens to stay away from regions experiencing active conflict. This follows India’s launch of Operation Sindoor, aimed at targeting terror infrastructure within Pakistan.
The advisory, titled ‘Military Activity and Closed Airspace’, stated, “We are aware of reports of military strikes by India into Pakistan. This remains an evolving situation, and we are closely monitoring developments.”
The advisory reads – We are aware of reports of military strikes by India into Pakistan. This remains an evolving situation, and we are closely monitoring developments.
U.S. citizens are reminded of the “Do Not Travel” advisory for areas in the vicinity of the India-Pakistan border and the Line of Control due to terrorism and the potential for armed conflict, and the U.S. Department of State’s “Reconsider Travel” advisory for Pakistan generally. We are also aware that airspace has been closed, and many flights have been cancelled.
We advise U.S. citizens to depart areas of active conflict if they can safely do so, or to shelter in place. The U.S. Embassy will send updates as needed through our message system. Please ensure that you are enrolled in Smart Traveler Enrollment Program.”

Here’s how the President of the USA responded when asked about the military strike by India on Pakistan, “It’s a shame. We just heard about it as we were walking through the doors of the Oval. I guess people knew something was going to happen based on a little bit of the past. They’ve been fighting for a long time. They’ve been fighting for many, many decades and centuries, if you think about it. I hope it ends very quickly.”
