A turboprop plane carrying 62 people crashed near Sao Paulo in Brazil, on Friday, local officials near the site revealed. The incident has killed each person on board

Valinhos city officials, located near Vinhedo, reported that there were no survivors. They confirmed that only one home in the local condominium complex sustained damage, but none of the residents were injured.

A video shared on social media captured an ATR-manufactured plane spiraling out of control before descending behind a cluster of trees near residential homes, where it was followed by a large plume of black smoke.

Airline Voepass reported that the plane, which had departed from Cascavel in the state of Paraná, was en route to São Paulo’s main international airport when it crashed in the town of Vinhedo, approximately 80 km (50 miles) northwest of São Paulo.

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva spoke at an event shortly after the crash and asked for a minute of silence for the victims. “I have to be the bearer of really bad news,” he said.
