Pakistan carried out two air strikes in Afghan territory, killing eight people, including three children and five women, Afghanistan ‘s Taliban stated, as Reuters reported. The spokesperson of Taliban condemned the incident and termed it as violence of sovereignty.
The latest incident occurred after the recent militants attacks in Pakistan which is said to have taken place on Afghanistan soil, even though Taliban has rejected the claim.
Five women and three children have been killed in the strike which took place at Patika and Khost in the eastern border provinces, Zabiullah Mujahid, Taliban administration spokesman stated in a statement, reported Reuters. Such attacks can have very bad repercussions and Pakistan will not be able to control it. He added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan does not let anybody misuse Afghan territory in the name of security.
For lack of ability to handle problems in their own territory, Pakistan should not hold Afghanistan responsible for it, Mujahid added. Recently such attacks are on spike and several of them have been claimed by the Pakistani Taliban and instigated from Afghanistan. On the other hand, Afghanistan has straight away denied the allegation and said that they don’t allow militants to use Afghan land.
Meanwhile, Pakistan authorities have not reacted to the strike, which has occurred after a militant attack in Pakistan on Saturday, in which seven security persons were killed.
