Israel-Iran War: Amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, an Iranian official has claimed that Pakistan may use nuclear weapons against Israel if Israel deploys its nuclear arsenal in the ongoing conflict. This comes after Pakistan has expressed solidarity with Iran and called for Muslim unity against Israel following an attack on their military and nuclear infrastructure, Turkiye Today reported.
“Pakistan has told us that if Israel uses nuclear missiles, we will also attack it with nuclear weapons,” Turkiye Today quoted Senior Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) general and Iranian National Security Council member Mohsen Rezaei, as saying.
Although, top Iranian official made a big claim on nukes, Pakistan has not yet made any official statement regarding the use of nuclear weapons.

Pakistan urges unity
Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, emphasised the importance of unity among Muslim countries in response to what he described as “Israeli aggression,” according to Dunya News.
“In this time of trial, we stand by Iran in every way. We will protect Iranian interests. Iranians are our brothers, and their grief and pain are shared,” he added.
He further warned that without collective action, other Muslim countries could also become targets. “Israel has targeted Iran, Yemen, and Palestine. If Muslim nations don’t unite now, each will face the same fate,” Turkiye Today quoted him as saying.
Israel-Iran War
The ongoing war between the two nations started on June 13 when Israel launched “preemptive attacks” on Iran. Several top military officials and nuclear scientists were killed in the attack. The attack comes after Israel feared that Iran had been making nuclear bombs under the guise of its peaceful nuclear programme.
PM Benjamin Netanyahu dubbed the offensive as ‘Operation Rising Lion’. He stated the attack was on “the heart of Iran’s ballistic missiles program” and that the strikes would continue “for as long as it takes to remove this threat”.
Iran retaliated with ‘Operation True Promise 3’ against Israel and fired ballistic missiles and launched a drone attack. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that Israel had “unleashed its wicked and bloody” hand in a crime against Iran and that it would receive “a bitter fate for itself”.
