China’s foreign ministry has denied having any knowledge about its jet’s involvement in the India-Pakistan conflict. The ministry on Thursday said it was “not familiar with the matter” when asked whether Chinese jets were involved in the India-Pakistan conflict.
According to Reuters, the statement was given by the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during a regular media briefing in Beijing.
A day before this statement, China expressed ‘regret’ over India’s military action on Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir that took the lives of 26 people, including a Navy Officer.
Operation Sindoor
In the early morning on May 7, India launched strikes against Pakistan targeting nine terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The main target was Markaz Taiba, Muridke Hafiz Saeed’s headquarters, nerve centre of Lashkar-e-Taiba; Sawai Nala camp, Muzaffarabad which is a Major LeT camp in PoK, where Pahalgam terrorists trained and Markaz Subhanallah, Bahawalpur which is the Headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed, base of Masood Azhar.
The targets also included Syedna Bilal camp in Muzaffarabad, Barnala camp in Bhimber, Abbas camp in Kotli, Sarjal camp in Narowal, Mehmona Joya camp in Sialkot, and Gulpur camp in Kotli.
