Donald Trump and Elon Musk recently appeared for a joint interview with Fox News and responded to questions and critique regarding Elon Musk’s involvement in the official presidential business. When asked what he has to say about critiques calling Musk in charge of the US government, Trump replied with a chuckle expressing that it is a futile exercise.
Trump said that Musk called him after this narrative started doing the rounds of social media and said to him that the media is trying to drive them apart. Trump agreed and said, “Absolutely. They said we have breaking news. Donald trump has ceded control of the presidency to Elon Musk. President musk will be attending a cabinet meeting at 8:00 o clock. And I say, its just so obvious. They’re so bad at it.”
He further added, “I used to think they were good at it. They’re actually bad at it because if they were good at it, I’d never be president.”
What came as a surprise was the fact that both Musk and Trump appeared for the interview together which the US media took note of and called it “unorthodox” and not “traditional”.
Bill Stepian, former Trump White House Political Director, who appeared at CNN said that the soap opera writers want to draft up in DC but “Trump has surrounded himself by smart, rich, powerful people for 50 years. He’s quite comfortable.
The duo had grabbed significant attention when Musk addressed the media over DODGE from the Oval office, right along side Trump. A CNN article said, “the spectacle was also an obvious demonstration of unity between Trump and Musk, amid constant speculation about the president’s tolerance for a performer who rivals his love for the spotlight.”
