A poster is reportedly circulating online linked to Iranian sources which has been shared on X, mentioning several senior Israeli officials as targets for assassination. Leaders whose names are there on the list are Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant along with key commanders from Israel’s military branches. One version of the poster has been shared on the social media handle by the account name @Revenge_is_near.
However, there is no official confirmation from Israel or the Iranian government regarding the poster. As per NDTV, there are some unconfirmed reports from the Iranian military circles that some Israeli leaders along with Netanyahu may be targeted.
The list also includes names from high-ranking Israeli military officials like the Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi, head of Central Commands, Southern and Northern Eliezer Toledani, Major Generals Ori Gordin, Amir Baram, and head of Military Intelligence Aharon Haliva. If any case list proves authentic, it might indicate Iran’s response to rumours that Israel is planning to capitalize on its recent efforts against Hezbollah by attacking Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
