On Day 2 of the G7 Summit in Italy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Outreach session on Artificial Intelligence and Energy, Africa and the Mediterranean, highlighting India’s advanced approach to Net Zero by 2070.
The three-day international event was held at Borgo Egnazia in Italy’s Apulia region with Representatives from Italy, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK, the US, and the EU.
In an official press release by the Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi talked about India’s AI Mission premised on “AI for All.” The notice reads, “Prime Minister emphasised that this technology should be aimed at fostering progress and well-being of all.”
The technology is promised to be more “human-centric” for public service.
Prime Minister detailed India’s energy transition pathway, emphasizing availability, accessibility, affordability, and acceptability. He highlighted India’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070.
