Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently bought the iconic blue ”Ardsley Athletics XXL” t-shirt worn by the actor Jesse Eisenberg in the 2010 film The Social Network, where Esienberg played the role of Zuckerberg. During an appearance on the Colin and Samir Show podcast, Zuckerberg showed the shirt-humourously replying, ”Yeah this his shirt. Well , I guess this my shirt now.”
The T-shirt holds personal importance for Zuckerberg, as it is connected to time at Ardsley High School in New York. In the Social Network, Eisenberg’s character wears the t-shirt during the scene showcasing Facebook’s early development in a Palo Alto house. Zuckerberg revealed in the podcast that he got the shirt from an auction for $4,095 after a friend informed him about its availability.

During the podcast, Zuckerberg discussed his experience when he watched The Social Network, calling it as ”weird.” He explained that film have accurately depicted the specific details like his clothing but its misinterpreted his motivations and narratives related to Facebook’s creation. Addressing the showcase of FaceMash, a website he created at Harvard, Zuckerberg clarified, ”It was completely separate from Facebook.”
