Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Infosys founder N.R. Narayana Murthy attended the Jaipur Literature Festival, which commenced on January 30, 2025, at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur. The five-day event, concluding on February 3, brings together global leaders from literature, politics, science and art.

Sunak, who served as Prime Minister until 2024, is currently the Member of Parliament for Richmond and Northallerton in Yorkshire. Recently, he has taken on academic roles at his alma maters: the University of Oxford and Stanford University. At Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government, he serves as a Distinguished Fellow and member of the World Leaders Circle, while at Stanford’s Hoover Institution, he holds the position of William C. Edwards Distinguished Visiting Fellow.

During the festival, Sunak’s wife, Akshata Murty, and her mother, Sudha Murty, participated in a session titled “My Mother, Myself,” discussing their personal and professional journeys.

The Jaipur Literature Festival continues to be a significant cultural event, attracting prominent figures from around the world to engage in discussions on literature, art, and current affairs.
