We have all craved fast food at some point. More when we are on a diet, but here’s what happens when royalty craves a good old-fashioned McDonald’s meal. Twelve-year-old Prince George reportedly asked the crew of a $450 million superyacht, Opera, to take a detour to some Greek Islands, to grab a McDonald’s.
The future King of England was in the middle of the Mediterranean with all the gourmet items at arm’s length. However, that didn’t stop the young child from craving a Big Mac. The only challenge was that he was aboard a $450 million superyacht, which was made to stop in the middle of nowhere, only to look for the fast-food chain.
Reportedly, the yacht is so exclusive that it is not even up for charter, an asset only accessible to royalty. Just when the little prince’s cravings got relatable, the tantrum detoured them further away.
Prince George’s food cravings
Some reports even suggested that everyone remained quite secretive about Prince George’s order. Sources from a celebrity blog say, “George required a specific dietary item, which led to the tender going ashore in Zakynthos to purchase it. Nothing extravagant, just something particular.” There are others who claim on social media that the prince particularly liked spaghetti carbonara, along with a liking for curry, like his sister Charlotte. Yellow pages followed up with McDonald’s in the Greek Islands, who refused to reveal information about their customers.
Where is the British Royal Family this summer?
The British Royal Family, including Mc-Donald-lover Prince George with his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are rumoured to be at a secret summer getaway in the Greek Islands. Unlike their traditional royal holiday in Scotland, the family was spotted at sea with Princess Kate and Prince William. Based on a Supercar Blondie report, Opera’s crew hunted down a crispy meal for the future King.
Before being spotted for the summer, the Royals were at Wimbledon 2025, where Princess Charlotte took the front row beside the Princess of Wales and shared a warm moment in the royal box. Both Princess Kate and Prince William were present with Prince George at Centre Court. Outside, the Prince of Wales greeted Prince George, sharing a sweet moment.
