Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt has given a hard-hitting reply to Salman Khan fans who had trolled him after his shocking first round exit in recently concluded Rio Olympics. The wrestler, who bagged a medal for India at 2012 London Olympics, took to Facebook Live and apologised to his fans and the entire nation for under-performing at Rio. The Olympic medal winner also promised to bounce back soon from his setback.
Hitting out at ‘Salman fans’ who had earlier trolled him, Yogeshwar said he is not affected by the wrath thrown at him by the Sultan actor’s fans. Putting out a scathing response, the wrestler said that “dogs in this country have every right to bark.”
It should be noted that verbal war was started between Yogeshwar and some radical Salman fans when the Dabangg actor was appointed India’s goodwill ambassador for Rio Olympics. The wrestler was the first person to question Salman’s credentials for the job, followed by the legendary sprinter Milkha Singh.
Yogeshwar pointed-out that many legends like Milkha Singh and PT Usha are still alive for the job and Salman’s appointment was not required. Venting out his anger on social media, he had said that Olympics are not a stage for movie promotion.
Here is the stern message by the wrestler:

“Kahi bhi ja Kar apni movie ka promotion kare, Es desh me adhikar hai Lekin Olympic movie promotion ki jagah Nahi. PT Usha,Milkha Singh jaise bade sports star hai jinhone kathin samay me desh ke liye mehnat ki. Khel ke kshetra me Es ambassador ne Kya kiya(sic)”, Dutt had tweeted just after the Dabangg star’s appointment for Indian contingent’s ambassador at Rio Olympics.
Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan had come out in the actor’s defence. Salim had said that his son may not have competed in any game, but he is a swimmer, cyclist, and even a weightlifter. Taking to Twitter, Salim wrote, “Salman may not have competed but is an A list swimmer, cyclist and weight lifter. Sportsmen are performing because of sports lovers like us.” Taking on Milkha Singh, Salim said, “It’s not Bollywood industry but the Indian film industry which is the largest in the world.”
