Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz faced off at Wimbledon on Sunday evening — mere weeks after an epic match to determine the French Open champion. The highly anticipated match is being attended by celebrities from around the world including the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Felipe VI of Spain.

The Royal Box is also playing host to several A-listers including Paul Mescal, Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley, Matthew McConaughey, John Lithgow and Andrew Scott. The lengthy list of celebs also includes Vogue’s Anna Wintour and BBC’s Tim Davie. Former Wimbledon champions including Lleyton Hewitt and Stan Smith were also in attendance. Retired tennis superstar Andre Agassi was also back to watch Sinner vs Alcaraz — a month after handing the Spaniard the French Open trophy.

‘Welcome to Wimbledon, Neeraj Chopra’

The Wimbledon social media team also took a break from sharing nail-biting match updates to greet Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra. The ace Indian javelin thrower was photographed attending the finale on Sunday with the Wimbledon team sharing a simple message: “Welcome to Wimbledon, Neeraj Chopra”.

Princess of Wales to present trophy

Kate Middleton is scheduled to present the Wimbledon trophies after the match. The Princess of Wales is the patron of the All England Club and usually attends the women’s and men’s singles finals. She gave champion Iga Swiatek her prize after a 6-0, 6-0 victory on Saturday and offered consoling words to runner-up Amanda Anisimova. The British royal will make a reappearance at the finals on Sunday after a hiatus in 2024 as she fought cancer.
