Virat Kohli once again reminded fans why he remains one of the most admired cricketers in the world, this time for a small but heartfelt act of kindness at Delhi Airport. In a video that quickly went viral on social media, the 36-year-old batsman was seen halting security outside the team to interact with a young Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fan before India’s flight to Australia.
Kohli’s warm gesture
The video clip shared by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), shows Kohli seated inside the team bus when he spots a boy holding a ‘’Kohli” poster. The Indian star gestures to a security guard to bring the poster over, signs it and returns it to the elated youngster, who is seen wearing a RCB jersey. The boy proudly poses for a picture holding the autographed poster while smiling from his seat. This was a brief but memorable moment that melted hearts across the cricket community.
The video, captioned ‘’Virat Kohli giving autograph to a fan at Delhi Airport’’, has amassed thousands of views within hours, with users hailing the batter’s humility despite the heavy security presence around him.

Spotlight on the senior players’ return to ODIs
Kohli and Rohit Sharma were among the first batch of Indian players to leave for Australia on Wednesday morning for the three-match ODI series commencing from October 19 in Perth, followed by games in Adelaide and Sydney. They were accompanied by Shubman Gill, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Prasidh Krishna, along with members of the support staff.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir and other members of the coaching team are expected to leave later in the day. The white ball tour will be completed with a five-match T20I series starting October 29.
The ODI series has created a buzz as both Kohli and Rohit return to 50-over action after taking a break from Tests and T20Is. Gambhir, while speaking after India’s 2-0 Test win over the West Indies, told PTI that he hopes the senior duo will have ‘’a successful tour’’. He further added that their experiences ‘’will be valuable in Australia.’’
