Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has responded to criticism from online trolls after he shared hugs with Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq and former Indian player Gautam Gambhir. Kohli was involved in a verbal spat with both Naveen and Gambhir during last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL).

During last year’s IPL match, tensions rose between Kohli and Gambhir, who was then a mentor for the Lucknow Super Giants team. The trigger for their spat was Gambhir’s actions after a previous match, where he shushed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s home crowd. Fans enjoyed the drama, but Kohli’s recent friendly interactions have surprised many.

In this year’s IPL match between Gambhir’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), fans were expecting another intense showdown. However, they were surprised to see Kohli and Gambhir smiling and hugging each other. This behavior change disappointed some fans, who were hoping for more drama.

During a recent social event ahead of RCB’s clash with MI, Virat Kohli remarked that people are not happy with his actions, and now the “masala” has come to an end.

“People are very disappointed with my behavior. I hugged Naveen, and then the other day Gauti bhai [Gautam Gambhir] hugged me. Now that they don’t have anything juicy, they’ve started booing. We are not kids!” Kohli said.

MI vs RCB Weather and Pitch conditions

The weather forecast for the MI vs RCB clash promises clear skies and a temperature of 28°C, setting the stage for an exciting match.

Wankhede Stadium, known for its batting-friendly conditions, often sees high-scoring games. With teams usually preferring to bat first here, the side winning the toss might opt to set a challenging target. However, the evening dew could pose difficulties for bowlers, altering the dynamics of the game.

With the average first innings score at Wankhede Stadium standing at 175, both teams will need to adjust their game plans accordingly to make the most of the conditions.
