Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has solidified his position as India’s most valued celebrity, boasting a brand value of $227.9 million — a remarkable $51 million increase from 2022. According to Kroll’s Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2023, “Kohli boasts a diverse portfolio of more than 40 brands in his portfolio spread across industries. He was also signed up by the Indian arm of Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) as its brand influencer.” Kohli surpassed Ranveer Singh, who now holds the second spot with a brand value of $203.1 million.

In 2023, India’s top 25 celebrities, comprising stars from Hindi film industry and sportspersons, collectively amassed an estimated $1.9 billion in brand value, reflecting a 15.5% year-on-year growth.

Shah Rukh Khan, riding high on the success of films like “Jawaan” and “Pathaan,” ranks third with a brand value of $120.7 million. Akshay Kumar is fourth with $111.7 million, a drop from third place in 2022, while Alia Bhatt’s valuation of $101.1 million places her fifth, down from fourth. Deepika Padukone ranks sixth with a brand value of $96 million. Notably, Katrina Kaif joined the list of India’s most valued celebrity brands for the first time in the last five years.
