Manchester United failed to continue winning momentum as they were held to a frustrating goalless draw against Newcastle in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Despite dominating possession, United failed to convert their territorial advantage into goal. Wayne Rooney saw his goal disallowed for outside in the first half before Newcastle hit back through Aleksandar Mitrovic, the BBC reported.
The match also saw goalkeeper Tim Krul make a sensational save in the second half, denying a left-foot shot from substitute Javier Hernandez.
With the draw, Newcastle registered their second point on the table, while United are second with seven points.
