Rio Olympics 2016, the most enthusiastic sporting event, will start with an opening ceremony of Friday. The mega sporting event will see a participation of 11,000 odd athletes trying tooth and nail for their event of glory. The event will start on August 5th and will finally end on August 21st, but before that there will be a mega opening ceremony, full of glitz and glamour. The opening ceremony, one of the most watched event in sports, is expected to entertain the crowd to the fullest. The ceremony which will consist of some grand performances by the world known stars, will be commenced at Marcana Stadium on Friday.
As much as 11,000 athletes from 207 countries will start off their Olympic journey with a traditional parade. The contingents of different nations will be anchored by their flag bearers. The Indian side will be spearheaded by well known shooter Abhinav Bindra. While stars like Michael Phelps (United States) and Andy Murray (Great Britain) are among those who will carry the national flag of their country in Rio.
