Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after securing a stunning victory against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, the team took to X and mocked Travis head for his questionable performance in this IPL season. KKR defeated SRH by 80 runs marking it Hyderabad’s third consecutive defeat. Travis Head was eliminated after making just 4 runs against KKR.

The KKR shared a picture of Travis Head which showed his scoreboard at 0-0-4. The photo was posted along with the caption – ‘Head-ing towards the business, right from the start’.

Commenting on SRH’s performance, captain Pat Cummins said that the team needs to get more realistic. He said that the team may have to look back and judge what they could have done better with their options. “Our batters are best when they take the game on but looking back maybe we could have taken different options. It was mainly our fielding; overall bowling wasn’t bad. We should have taken a few catches and stopped them a bit earlier,” Cummins said.

In the opening match of the IPL 2025 season, Hyderabad had scored 286 runs against Rajasthan Royals, but since then, they have been struggling to make their mark. From SRH’s perspective, they started well but couldn’t last. SRH faltered under pressure from the KKR bowling attack. Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana wreaked the top order of SRH leaving the middle and lower orders exposed. Kamindu Mendis (27) provided hope for the team but couldn’t take the innings. Varun Chakravarthy (3 wickets) bundled SRH out for 120 runs in just 16.4 overs
