With five winning jewels in its crown, Mumbai Indians is one of the best teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The cricket franchise team representing Mumbai was formed in 2008 as one of the eight original teams of the IPL. Reliance Industries is the owner of Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma skipper. Considered as one of the most successful teams in the IPL, MI won the tournament a record five times (in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020). They have also been the runners-up on four occasions (in 2010, 2013, 2019, and 2021).
