1. Mavi, a medium pace bowler and a right-handed batsman, lives in the Janta Flats in Noida Sector 71. He was a part of the Indian cricket team for the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand which was led by Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw.

2. Mavi is a second-year student of Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) at Al-Falah University in Faridabad. He finished schooling from City Public School in Noida.

3. He caught the attention of the national selectors after an impressive performance in the zonal level ‘Challengers’ tournament where he bagged 9 wickets in four matches.

4. His father, Pankaj Mavi, is a businessman and his mother is a homemaker. Mavi considers South African pacer Dale Steyn his idol and believes that one day he will play for the Indian cricket team.

5. Shivam Mavi opened the bowling for India in the U19 World Cup with Kamlesh Nagarkoti. Both the bowlers consistently hit the 145 kmph mark, impressing the fans as well as the former cricketers.
