Chennai Super Kings Retained Players Full List, IPL 2025: The Chennai Super Kings have made strategic moves in their retention strategy, keeping five key players on their roster. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja lead the pack, each commanding a hefty Rs 18 crore. They’ve also secured Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana for Rs 13 crore and all-rounder Shivam Dube for Rs 12 crore.

In a move that fans expected, the iconic MS Dhoni remains with the team, retained for Rs 4 crore. The Super Kings have cleverly utilized the newly adjusted uncapped player retention rule to their advantage.

This rule now encompasses international players who haven’t participated in any matches for India over the past five years or who haven’t held a BCCI central contract during that timeframe.
