In today’s match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals, Virat Kohli made history in IPL 2025 by becoming the first batter to hit 100 boundaries (fours and sixes) against seven different teams.

Last Sunday, Kohli broke the record for the most 50+ scores in IPL history, continuing his place in the record books. His ability to consistently perform adds new feats to his already illustrious career. Today, in their home ground match against Rajasthan Royals, Kohli achieved another remarkable milestone.

During this match, Kohli became just the second batter—after Shikhar Dhawan—to smash 100 boundaries against Rajasthan Royals. Impressively, this achievement means that Kohli has now scored 100 or more boundaries against seven different teams in the IPL.

Kohli has now recorded 100 or more boundaries against every franchise that has been part of the Indian Premier League since its inception in 2008.

Rohit Sharma follows with five teams on his list: CSK, DC, KKR, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and PBKS.

Shikhar Dhawan is also notable, having achieved this feat against five teams: CSK, KKR, MI, PBKS, and RR.

Virat Kohli’s fifth fifty of the season moved him from eighth to second place in the Orange Cap race. Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans is on top with 417 runs in 8 innings, while Kohli has scored 392 runs in 9 innings.
