India vs West Indies Test Match: The second day of the first test match between India and West Indies began on Friday with KL Rahul and on the crease. The team has already begun taking the lead with both KL Rahul and Shubman Gill worrying the guests with their performances on the ground. However, the partnership ended Friday mornings when Gill was caught out by Justin Greaves.

KL Rahul is driving the game with a century as the Indian team moves forward to take a handsome lead on day 2 of the match.

The weather is predicted to be fine for the game, and the Indian team has to ensure victory this time to overcome their 0-3 experience against New Zealand. Brimming with the fire of winning the Asia Cup in a nail-biting final against Pakistan, the aim is not to draw but win the match.

What is expected on Day 2?

The fast pace of the game favours India if the lead continues to grow on WI at the current rate. This would give an opportunity to the team to declare and allow the guests to play, with ample time in hand to end their innings.

The magic of Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be at play again. This is essential if India want to stop West Indies at a lower score to settle a small target or they could also put in front a mammoth lead and wind up the Indies’ innings to ensure the victory by an entire innings.

Given the current scenario, the possibility of winning from an inning before even the 5th day is higher. Yet, as the game is unpredictable, the show continues.
