India and Pakistan are set to clash in their third and final encounter of the ongoing Asia Cup tonight at 8 pm Indian time. Suryakumar Yadav’s men in blue look determined to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament so far against Salman Ali’s Pakistan. Both sides are expected to face each other in the final clash of the ongoing Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The toss for the much awaited fixture is scheduled to take place at 7.30 PM (IST).
IND vs PAK: Are tickets still available?
India and Pakistan have already played each other twice in the tournament where India dominated both previous contests.
However cricket was not the only thing on display in the previous games as the fixtures were overshadowed by controversies surrounding sportsmanship, a lack of handshakes, and provocative gestures that are rooted in the military conflict between the two nations earlier this year.
According to multiple reports, the group stage game between India and Pakistan had 20,000 fans in attendance. The Super Four stage clash reportedly had 17,000 spectators at the venue. Ticket sales for the Asia Cup final have almost sold out. On one of Asia Cup’s official ticketing partners, PlatinumList, seats are only available for ‘The Grand Lounge’. The seats cost AED 3,500 (~ Rs 84,000) and are up for grabs at the time for writing this report.
IND vs PAK: Reputation on the line
Despite their impressive run in the tournament so far, the Indian side has a lot on the line. Post their last ODI world cup final loss to Australia in Gujarat, the Indian side has developed a reputation of choking in the final.
It would mark a specially embarrassing occasion for the favourites if Suryakumar Yadav’s men lose tonight. Especially after he recently said at a presser that India and Pakistan was no longer a rivalry as being projected by the media. That’s likely to bring a different kind of pressure.
