After SKY’s departure in the 18th over, and with run-a-ball required, India started choking from one end and ended up in an unwanted position after gripping the game throughout the chase.
With 3 wickets falling back to back in the last over, Rinku smacked the ball into the stands on the last ball, playing a utility cameo of 28, taking just 14 balls. The best part of his cameo was his smart cricketing shots with minimal to zero risk.
After losing both their openers early in the innings, captain SKY and Ishan Kishan stabilised the ship of India. The partnership sailed India past the 100-run mark at the mid-stage and managed to restrict the required rate under control. Kishan who started off slow, accelerated well, going after Sangha. SKY played his natural game and did not shy away from playing unorthodox shots.
An unfortunate run-out due to a mix-up between Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad made the latter disperse back to the pavilion without facing a ball. Jaiswal soon followed him while going after Matt Short, trying to go over mid-off. He ended up giving an easy catch to Steve Smith who won’t let it go easily.
Australia crossed the 200-run mark with the courtesy of a fiery maiden T20 ton for Josh Inglis. He scored 110 off just 50 balls, striking at a rate of 220. He hit eight sixes and 11 fours in his innings. Smith also managed a half-century, before getting run out in the 16th over. Australia set a target of 209 runs for India.
Australia managed to get a solid start as Steve Smith and Josh Inglis looked solid in the middle. Together, they clubbed 130 runs, with Inglis contributing the majority of the runs.
For India, Mukesh Kumar was the key bowler, who just conceded 29 runs in his full quota. He bowled a brilliant final over, giving away only four runs.
Having won the toss, India asked Australia to bat first. Arshdeep started with the ball and bowled two economical overs, going for just seven runs. He ended up going for 41 runs. However, Krishna is having a tough day with the ball. He ended up giving 50 runs in four overs.
Earlier, Bishnoi managed to get the wicket of Matt Short. Josh Inglis has dominated with the bat, while Smith has held his end and managed to get boundaries to his comfort.

A good 16th over for India, as 16 came off it from Stoinis' over. Rinku showed his grit and skill, and managed two boundaries without any risk, finding the gaps smartly. SKY continued with a backfoot punch for a four too. The required rate is under nine now.

14.5 overs, Tilak Varma departs after scoring 12 runs in ten balls. He started the over with a bang, striking two fours in the first two balls of the over. However, on the last ball, Tilak went after the ball wide outside off stump trying to clear the covers, only to get a top edge and a catch in the thirty-yard circle. Rinku Singh is the new man in!

A good over after drinks, Stoinis goes for eight runs in the 11th over, with a boundary for Suryakumar Yadav. Still, a good over for Australia.
