The upcoming Asia Cup Risers Stars 2025, a rebranded version of the Engineering Asia Cup, promises to deliver an exciting contest between Asia’s top young cricketers, which commences on November 14 in Doha, Qatar.
As per the schedule released by Cricbuzz.com, the 10-day tournament will feature eight teams in total competing across 15 T20 matches, all at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium. The final is scheduled to take place on November 23.
The event consists of two groups:
Group A includes India, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Oman
Group B includes Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka.
Each side will play three group stage matches before the top two from each group will compete for the semifinals. The first semi-final (A1 vs B2) is slated for November 21, and the second semi-final (B1 vs A2) is scheduled to take place on November 23, at 8:00 PM local time (2:30 GMT).
The most interesting match of the group stage will be the India A vs Pakistan A match on November 16, a high-voltage battle set for 8:00 PM local time.
The fixture comes amid ongoing tensions between the two cricket team giants after last session’s Asia Cup controversy over the trophy presentation. The Doha clash is expected to reignite the rivalry in front of the cricket fans.
