India’s hunt for a jersey sponsor has ended with Apollo Tyres stepping in as the new sponsor, following Dream11’s exit after the implementation of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025. The law forced Dream11 to pull out of its contract, leaving the Indian cricket team without a sponsor for the ongoing Asia Cup.

Higher Payout Than Dream11

According to a report by The Times of India, Apollo Tyres will pay the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) approximately Rs 4.5 crore per game. This is higher than the Rs 4 crore per game previously paid by Dream11. The deal will run from 2025 to 2027, covering nearly 130 fixtures in India’s international cricket calendar.

Competitive Bidding Finalized

The sponsorship bidding process began on September 2, when the BCCI invited Expressions of Interest. The process was finalized on September 16, with Apollo Tyres emerging as the winner. Canva and JK Tyres were also in the race for the contract. The BCCI has clarified that brands linked to gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco were not allowed to participate in the bidding..
