Sultan box office collections: Salman Khan has driven the 6th day collection figure, which is Monday, to Rs 15.54 cr. This is much less than half of what the movie earned on Sunday. Sultan collections have been above Rs 30 cr for each of the 5 days days post-release. Nevertheless, this amount is nothing to sneeze at as most movies usually fall off B.O. charts as soon as the opening weekend is over.(Source: Twitter- Ali Abbas Zafar)

As such, this big Sultan 6th day collection figure gives rise to some questions. Who watched the movie in such numbers to generate this kind of returns on the first day of the working week (Monday)? One can only surmice as to who all played truant from schools and offices to run down to the nearest cinema and catch Salman Khan in Sultan movie. The numbers therefore, must have been massive in terms of manpower loss for corporate and other bosses.(Source: Twitter- Ali Abbas Zafar)

Be that as it may, Sultan box office collections by day 6 have reached a massive Rs 195.90 crore. The overall amount itself in India alone has ballooned to Rs 272.08 cr. If we add the foreign count to the total, we have a massive Rs 364.08 crore figure. Salman Khan himself has taken to Twitter and posted his reaction to the tremendous response from the public: “Thx for appreciating sultan.”(Source: Twitter-Ali Abbas Zafar)

The trend is likely to be downhill now with each passing day registering a lower figure, but if Sultan manages to stay in double figures for the rest of the week, it would obliterate a number of other records left standing. (Source: Twitter- Ali Abbas Zafar)

In a recent interaction, Anushka Sharma gave a glimpse of how it felt to be a part of the Salman Khan Sultan show: “‘Sultan’ has been my most difficult film till now. It was challenging for me physically and emotionally it was tough. I had to understand the emotions and maturity that probably I don’t posses in me right now. Also, learning a sport, changing my body type and waking up early in the morning, going for training and then learning wrestling…. I was working like a robot. But today when I am getting this kind of appreciation from people I feel grateful. All the love people are giving me because of the film, is special. I feel all the hard work has paid off.” (Source: Twitter- Ali Abbas Zafar)
