Padmaavat box office collection: Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmaavat, after being in the eye of a storm for a couple of months, finally released on January 25 and to the makers solace the film is performing very well. The film is doing an exponential business in both domestic and overseas box offices. The film so far has earned Rs Rs 176.50 cr and it is being expected that the film will touch the Rs 200 cr mark by the end of the weekend. The film is also on its way to surpass the lifetime collection of Baajirao Mastani which had made Rs 184.2 cr.

Tiger Zinda Hai: Salman Khan proving his mettle once again has collected a phenomenal Rs 338 cr at the box office. TZH is still going strong and is just inches away from going past Aamir Khan starrer PK. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif film was praised by the critics for the impeccable action sequences as well as some appreciable cinematic moments. The film went on to break the record of several films and also emerged as Salman bhai's highest earner till date.

1921: This Karan Kundra, Zareen Khan starrer was surely a shocker as it went on to earn Rs 15.57 cr. the film released alongside Kaalkaandi and Mukkabaaz and still managed to earn much more than them. The horror flick helmed by Vikram Bhatt may not have scared its audience enough, but somehow the film worked. Blame it on the past films of the franchise or the theme, 1921 has done a commendable job.

Mukkabaaz: The Anurag Kashyap film was a stunner which showcased the riveting tale of a pugilist who fights all odds to make his presence felt. It is also a love story but nothing like those everyday romcoms. The film in spite of its exemplary plot failed to woo the audience. The film earned Rs 9.83 cr.
Kaalakaandi: This Saif Ali Khan starrer was one of the biggest disappointments. The film which released on January 12 was one of the most anticipated films since it was coming from the makers of Delhi Belly, but it failed to stand up to the hype. The film only made Rs 6.27 cr.
