Despite no other promotional push from any source, Kabali box office collections have, according to industry analyst Ramesh B @rameshlaus the collections are gradually fattening themselves as each day passes by. The latest figures that he has revealed are eye-opening for the post-Monday week: While on Tuesday he says Kabali earnings were Rs 135 crore net and Rs 157.5 crore gross, these moved to as much as Rs 142.5 cr and Rs 166.5 cr respectively by day 6 only. To these Kabali collections figures, which are limited to the Indian market, can be added the Rs 90 crore that the Rajinikanth starrer earned from the foreign box office. While this figure is well documented, it is all set to receive a big boost as soon as the newer figures that have come in are vetted. According to a post that Ramesh B made, the figure from the international market are soaring skywards even now. Ever the gentleman and humble to the core, Rajinikanth has refused to gloat at these astonishing figures. He has remained as simple as he always was. He has already thanked his fans and all those who have been involved in the success of the movie. He could have done so and no one would have blamed him simply because the nature of the success has been that mammoth. Instead he is finding happiness in the most simple of things, today having wished his son-in-law Dhanush on his 33rd birthday, dressed simply in long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

With such figures roiling the movie markets, the Rs 500+ crore target is almost on the cusp of being achieved and Rs 600 cr thereafter. However, as can be seen in the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan case with Sultan box office collections, till a certain milestone is not crossed, it should not be recognised and also it must be recognised how difficult it is to go over the Rs 100 cr, Rs 200 cr, the Rs 300 cr, the Rs 400 cr, the Rs 500 cr and Rs 600 cr marks. At the moment, Salman Khan's Sultan collections are stuck in the Rs 290+ cr mark and unlikely to ever cross the Rs 300 cr major milestone. Rajinikanth has powered the collections so far and needs to just wait for all the laurels to fall in his lap, but it will not be easy from here.

Rajinikanth's love interest in Kabali Radhika Apte has today apologised for not being part of the promotions of the movie, something she said was 'unfortunate' as she was shooting for another movie.
