QS Global MBA Rankings 2018: The latest edition of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)’s QS World University Rankings: Global MBA Rankings of 2018 was released yesterday by the topuniversities.com. While United State’s Harvard Business School topped the list globally, France’s INSEAD is the top institute among the QS Global MBA Rankings of Asia, Australia & New Zealand. India’s IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore feature among the top 10 global institutes for their MBA programmes in the list that covers institutes from Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Rank 1: INSEAD, France: Founded in 1957, INSEAD is a graduate business school that has campuses across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The institute was originally known as the French "Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires" or European Institute of Business Administration. There are over 90 different nationalities in the classrooms across the three fully-integrated campuses. Students need an average GMAT score of 707 to get admission to the 10 months MBA programme offered by the institute. (Photo: Website)

Rank 2: CEIBS, China: Established in 1994, the China Europe International Business School (CIEBS) is a joint-venture for management education between the EU and the Chinese government, with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) serving as executive partners. Rank 3: Melbourne Business School, Australia: Established in the 1954, Melbourne Business School is a Business School of the University of Melbourne, located in Australia's Victoria. Rank 4: University of Hong Kong, China: Esablished in 1911, the Hong Kong University which is also known as HKU is a public research university located in Pokfulam, Hong Kong. Rank 5: AGSM of UNSW, Australia: Established in 1949, the University of New South Wales has a World class AGSM MBA programme that is conducted over 16 months. Using real-world case studies, scenario modelling and simulations, over 16 months students develop strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and leadership abilities during the programme. Rank 6: NUS, Singapore: Established in 1965, the NUS Business School, under the National University of Singapore provides a 17 month long MBA programme. The Institute was was founded in its current incarnation in 2002, but business education has been a mainstay of the university since 1961. Rank 7: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad: founded in 1961, IIM Ahmedabad was the second Indian Institute of Management (IIM) to be established in India after IIM Calcutta. The varsity currently offers post-graduate diploma (PGPs) in management rather than MBA degrees (this is set to change with the passing of the IIM Bill). Rank 10: CUHK Business School, Hong Kong: The CUHK Business School has been delivering MBA programs since 1966. It is one of the first schools in Asia that provided a management programme. The flagship full-time MBA consists of core and elective courses, divided into three regular terms and an optional summer term. Full-time MBA candidates complete 54 units and completion of the full-time curriculum normally takes 16 months of full-time study, including the summer internship or international exchange (if desired, students can opt out of this to complete the program within 12 months).
