Sushma Swaraj hits back at journo who raked up propriety issue </br> Under attack for helping fugitive former IPL boss Lalit Modi obtain travel documents in UK, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today hit back at a TV journalist who had raked up the issue of propriety in the matter. "Look who is preaching propriety -of all the persons…," Swaraj tweeted. Swaraj has been under attack by political parties and others for helping scam-tainted Modi to obtain British travel documents after the disclosure of emails showing that she had spoken to Indian-origin British MP Keith Vaz and its High Commissioner here James Bevan seeking favours for the former cricket administrator, who had to go to Portugal, purportedly for his wife's cancer treatment in June last year. <br>War of words between Nitish Kumar and BJP over Yoga</br> <br>The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Modi today castigated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his snide remarks against Amit Shah and Baba Ramdev vis-a-vis promotion of International Yoga Day on June 21. He also slammed Kumar for not organising an official function to promote the exercise in Bihar. "Kumar has needlessly attacked BJP president Amit Shah and yoga guru Baba Ramdev for promoting the International Yoga Day scheduled for June 21… being himself a yoga supporter and practitioner, he should have organised official functions to promote the ancient exercise form," Sushil told reporters here. The former deputy chief minister complimented yoga guru Ramdev for yeoman service to promote the ancient exercise form as a fitness activity in the country and across the world. <br>India could drag Pakistan to ICJ over Kargil martyr Saurabh Kalia</br> Reversing its earlier stand, India today said it could approach the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the brutal torture of Kargil martyr Captain Saurabh Kalia by Pakistan in view of the "exceptional circumstances" of the case. The government will be requesting the Supreme Court to pronounce on the legality of its stand that India cannot invoke the compulsory jurisdiction of the ICJ in relation to disputes concerning armed conflicts, hostilities etc with Pakistan as they were commonwealth countries. Metropolitan Magistrate Akash Jain heard the arguments advanced by senior advocate K K Manan, who appeared for the complainant Ahmer Khan, a freelance writer, on the point of whether cognisance of the complaint can be taken or not. During the hearing, Manan told the court that Irani had filed three affidavits before the ECI while filing nominations for her candidature for the Lok Sabha as well as the Rajya Sabha polls and gave different details about her educational qualification. <br>Arms Act case: Salman Khan's court hearing put off till July 20</br> Salman Khan's trial under Arms Act in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) here has been put off till July 20 in the wake of the actor challenging the lower court's verdict in the High Court. Khan was supposed to present his side in the court today but his counsel H M Saraswat moved an application seeking deferment in the wake of stay on the trial granted by the High Court until the petition was decided. "We had moved a criminal miscellaneous petition in the High Court seeking permission to call 5 prosecution witnesses for re-examination.
