<br>'Ghar Wapsi' victims join US lawsuit to name RSS a terror body:</br> Three Indians, alleging forcible conversion to Hinduism by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), have joined a Sikh rights group in filing an amended lawsuit appealing a US court to designate RSS a "terror group". Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) said the three are victims of the "Ghar Wapsi" campaign of alleged forcible religious conversions launched by the RSS. The amended compliant has been filed by Micheal Masih, Hasim Ali and Kulwinder Singh, belonging to the Christian, Muslim and Sikh faiths along with SFJ and seeks the terror label for the RSS. The complaint alleges that after the BJP came to power in 2014, its "ideological mentor" is "attempting to forcibly convert their families to Hinduism." The complaint noted that Hindu nationalist groups announced plans to forcibly "reconvert" at least 4,000 Christian families and 1,000 Muslim families in Uttar Pradesh as part of 'Ghar Wapsi' programme. "Based on the evidence and recent report of USCIRF, Obama administration is bound under law to declare organisations like RSS as terror groups," he said. (Representative image: PTI) (27/05/2015)

An activist has taken up the matter with the National Commission for Minorities seeking a probe into the builder's "discriminatory policy." Misbah Quadri tried to move to a flat in Wadala area but met with the shocking response from the builder of the apartment. "After a lot of searching, I finally found a house at Wadala and paid a deposit of Rs 24,000 through a broker. A night before I was to move in, I got a call from the broker, warning me not to shift there as it is the builder's policy to not have Muslim tenants. I tried to reason with him but he did not oblige," Quadri said. "I had to move into the flat though I did not agree with the terms because the notice period with my previous flat had expired and there was nowhere I could go. After a week, the broker called me again and asked me to leave. I had no option then but to leave the," she said. (Reuters) (27/05/2015)

"I firmly believe that a Prime Minister's responsibility is not just limited to not indulging in corruption, but it is also his responsibility to stop others as well so as to uproot corruption from the entire system," Shah told reporters here. "NDA government is not picking a fight with poor fishermen, farmers and tribals, but with the soul of the country," Gandhi said and warned that "nobody has ever won the fight against the soul of the country. I am telling you from this stage, they (Centre) should be very, very careful, about whom they are confronting. We are going to fight for every single person who feels oppressed. Justice Rajiv Shakdher also allowed the NGO to liquidate its fixed deposits, saying these and fresh donations be used for its aims and objectives and in accordance with law.
