<b>Arun Shourie hits out at PM Narendra Modi:</b> Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Shourie on Friday launched a surprise attack on PM Narendra Modi and accused him of a string of failures across a spectrum of activities that negatively impacted the Indian economy, the minorities and much else, leaving the country wondering what the premier is up to. Talking exclusively to Headlines Today's Karan Thapar, Arun Shourie said the impact of all of this is that it has "frightened the members of the BJP and Offended the Opposition and even allies." Shourie called the attempts of the Centre to put India on the path of double digit growth as 'hyperbole'. <b>Rahul Gandhi appears in Maha court in RSS defamation case:</b> Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today appeared in a local court in connection with a criminal defamation case against him, notwithstanding the Supreme Court stay on the proceedings in the matter. He presented himself before Magistrate D P Kale in line with the commitment given by his counsel on March 30. The court posted the case of defamation against him for allegedly blaming the RSS for the Mahatma Gandhi's assassination. Gandhi, who spent less than 15 minutes in court, told reporters that he came to honour the commitment given to the court. "We respect the judiciary, that is why I am here. I had made a commitment to the court. I am here to fulfil that commitment," said a post on his office's Twitter handle @office 0f RG, which was launched only yesterday. <b>Supporting Yogendra Yadav-Prashant Bhushan's 'Swaraj Samvad' anti-party, says Maha AAP :</b> Aam Aadmi Party's Maharashtra unit today cautioned party workers in a fresh reminder that supporting the campaign of former leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan will be considered as an "anti- party" activity. Party national spokesperson and senior leader in the state, Preeti Sharma Menon told PTI here that they have issued a fresh directive that bars workers and volunteers from associating with the campaign of Yadav and Bhushan. "Most volunteers do not know what kind of campaign it is and has been launched to uproot the party, hence, the state unit has decided to inform workers and volunteers about it," she said. She said it may a distant possibility as well that many volunteers might not be aware that Bhushan and Yadav are no longer a part of AAP, and hence, unknowingly associate with their campaign.
